The Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most important festival for all of us. On New Year's Eve, all family members gather together to enjoy a big meal. At about 12 o'clock, some parents and children light crackers to celebrate the festival. The whole sky is lighted brightly by the fireworks, and we may watch them excitedly.
On the first day of the New Year, many senior citizens get up early to stick reversed Fu or hang couplets on the front door. Some houses windows are decorated with red paper cuttings. The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days, during which we always visit our relatives from door to door.
